One woman and two deputies were injured in an altercation in Ralls County, Missouri near Spencer Creek.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Sergeant Eric Brown says the altercation happened around 11:28 p.m. on Tuesday, when shots were eventually fired by Ralls County deputies.

As a result, the female suspect was transported to a St. Louis hospital for her injuries. Two deputies also received minor injuries in the altercation and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The nature and reason for the altercation is unknown at this time.

The state Division of Drug and Crime Control has been called in to conduct and investigation, and Sgt. Brown says it could be next week until the investigation is complete.
