Several drug charges have been filed recently in connection to investigations by local authorities and the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force. In Miller County alone last week, there were at least 20 drug charges filed,most of them being felonies.
That just may be the tip of the proverbial iceberg, according to Sheriff Louie Gregoire.
Gregoire says it’s a problem the sheriff’s department can’t take care of alone. He says the department often turns to the public to be the eyes and ears in the continuing battle against illegal drugs.
Gregoire added that all tips regarding illegal drug activity can be kept confidential.
