The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, working with the U.S. Marshal’s Service, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and other area law enforcement agencies, recently arrested 96 fugitives wanted on felony warrants, including 13 from Jefferson County, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The fugitive arrests were made as part of “Operation Violence Reduction – 12” a campaign held Feb. 1 through March 4 designed to take suspects with a history of violence into custody, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

In addition to the fugitive arrests, officers seized eight firearms and a variety of narcotics, including marijuana, methamphetamine and crack cocaine, the report said.
