Course Description:

Agencies of all sizes should have someone responsible for the management and supervision of the Field Training and Evaluation Program on a day-to-day basis. The FTO manager plays a critical role with the quality of his/her interaction with the FTO’s, trainees and the various aspects of the program itself. Some of the topics to be covered:

  • Role of the FTO Manager
  • Performance Discrepancies
  • Liability
  • Leadership
  • Overview of the nationally recognized San Jose, California Field Training and Evaluation model

This training qualifies for sixteen (16) hours of Missouri POST Continuing Law Enforcement Education through the Missouri Sheriffs’ Association Training Academy, a POST‐approved continuing education provider.
