On July 25 the Benton County Sheriff’s Office was awarded five new automated external defibrillators (AED) from the Benton County Health Department.

“Their fund raising and grant writing has provided life saving capability for my office, organizations and departments in Benton County. The BCHD has fulfilled one of my many goals within the sheriff’s office at no cost to the taxpayer,” said Sheriff Eric Knox. “This equipment would cost upwards of $6,000 if purchased outright. Thank you to all the hard working staff at the BCHD for all your efforts and the work that you do! You are another one of our Benton County family who works hard behind the scenes, with little recognition and little appreciation.”
