POLICE OFFICER TESTING IS SCHEDULED FOR 11/14/09, BY INVITATION ONLY *$38,644 - *$55,748/yr *plus $.65/hr shift differential *$.31/hr equipment allowance The City of Columbia, MO is now accepting applications to develop an eligibility roster for the position of Police Officer. Must have completed two years of college (60 hrs coursework at an accredited college) with a major in law enforcement/criminal justice preferred. Must be 21 yrs of age by hire date. Must possess and maintain a valid MO driver’s license. Departmental response time requires residence within 30 miles of the Columbia Police Dept. Applications MUST include an OFFICIAL CERTIFIED TRANSCRIPT (photo copies will not be accepted), verifying successful completion of at least 60 hrs. college credit and a STATEMENT (minimum of 50 words) which describes how your background & experience specifically relates to and prepares you for a career in law enforcement.
