Police Officers - City of Jefferson, MO
Individuals must be career-oriented, have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid Missouri drivers license with a good driving record, have no felony convictions nor convictions of crimes of moral indecency, possess or be able to secure a Missouri State Law Enforcement License as a Commissioned Law Enforcement Officer within six months of hire, and have the ability to work a rotating shift. Paid training for licensing, plus equipment and uniforms furnished. Females and minorities are encouraged to apply. Applicants must pass a written test and 1.5 mile run plus an extensive background investigation and criminal history check before being considered. Monthly salary is $2,750-$4,126, plus holiday pay with lateral entry adjustments possible. Application deadline is October 9, 2009. Full-time police personnel must reside within 25 miles and 30 minutes of the City limits within one year of hire.
