Deputy Sheriff - Maries County, Missouri

The Maries County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for a Sheriff’s Deputy Position. Applicants must be pro-active! As a Sheriff’s Deputy you will have extra responsibilities and will have times when you are on call. Applicants must be POST certified prior to hiring, have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid driver's license, have a good driving record, and be able to pass a full background investigation. Applicants must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to problem solve, and multitask. Ability to work with others in a team environment a must! Application process consists of an oral interview, written testing, report writing, background investigation, and a Sheriff’s interview. Applicants must be able to work shifts, INCLUDING NIGHTS, HOLIDAYS and WEEKENDS. If hired you will be required to live within the county 6 months after appointment.
