Police Officer, Cape Girardeau, MO
The City of Cape Girardeau is seeking qualified applicants for employment in the position of Police Officer. On the date of employment, applicants must: Be at least 21 years of age; be a Missouri resident & U.S. citizen; possess a valid driver's license; possess a high school dipoloma or GED equivalent; not have a conviction for a felony or any crime involving domestice violence. Applicants selected to participate in the hiring process will be required to participate in a written exam, physical test, interview and background investigation. The exam and interview are by invitation and are tentatively scheduled for October 9th and October 21st or 23rd respectively. Finalists will be required to undergo a medical examination, psychological evaluation and pre-employment drug screen. Starting pay is at least $31,990 based on 52 weeks of empoloyment, plus an assigned vehicle and a generous benefits package. Current top pay for the position is $48,000.
