Individuals must be career-oriented, have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid Missouri drivers license with a good driving record, have no felony convictions nor convictions of crimes of moral indecency, possess or be able to secure a Missouri State Law Enforcement License as a Commissioned Law Enforcement Officer within six months of hire, and have the ability to work a rotating shift. The Maries County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for a Sheriff’s Deputy Position. Applicants must be pro-active! As a Sheriff’s Deputy you will have extra responsibilities and will have times when you are on call. The City of Cape Girardeau is seeking qualified applicants for employment in the position of Police Officer. On the date of employment, applicants must: Be at least 21 years of age; be a Missouri resident & U.S. citizen; possess a valid driver's license; possess a high school dipoloma or GED equivalent; not have a conviction for a felony or any crime involving domestice violence. Applicants selected to participate in the hiring process will be required to participate in a written exam, physical test, interview and background investigation. The exam and interview are by invitation and are tentatively scheduled for October 9th and October 21st or 23rd respectively. Finalists will be required to undergo a medical examination, psychological evaluation and pre-employment drug screen.
