The Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force currently is accepting applications for a detective’s position. This is a MOSMART position and is on an annual renewable one-year grant. The Morgan County Sheriff's Office is taking applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff/Detention Officer. Applicants must be 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, be POST certified in Missouir, have a valid Missouri driver's license and be able to pass a background investigation along with an oral interview. Job dueties include, but not limited to, courthouse security, prisoner transport, detention and supervision of detainees. Starting salary is approximately $26,308.80 a year for a certified officer, and approximately $25,264.80 a year for a non-certified officer.
