Honorary Membership

My Fellow Missourians,

As the Executive Director of the Missouri Sheriffs' Association I invite you to become an honorary member of the Missouri Sheriffs' Association. It only takes $25.00 to join as an individual or $50.00 to be a business in our Association.

The Missouri Sheriffs' Association is a non-profit organization developed in 1945 to assist the sheriffs in the state of Missouri. The Association membership consists of Missouri sheriffs, honorary members, business members, and its Executive Director and staff.

As you are aware, the majority of Missouri counties are small. Many county governments simply do not have either the revenue or the resources to assist their local sheriff in addressing the many new challenges being placed upon them. The Missouri Sheriffs' Association helps Missouri sheriffs by providing policy manuals, legal advice and annual training for sheriffs designed to improve sheriffs' operations. The Association also provides college scholarships for teenagers interested in a law enforcement career. The Association is available to assist your local sheriff with research and new crime-fighting techniques to meet the new challenges we face in today's world, such as the methamphetamine epidemic and "homeland security" issues. The Association assists you by fighting for stronger legislation to help protect Missourians from the criminal element.

The Missouri Sheriffs' Association can only exist through the efforts of Missouri's sheriffs and the financial support from its honorary members. You can support Missouri's sheriffs by becoming an honorary member. As an honorary member you will receive a membership card for your wallet, a star decal for your car and a copy of our Association's publication, all for just $25.00. As a $50.00 business member you will also receive a plaque to display in your business.

I invite you to join me as an honorary member of the Missouri Sheriffs' Association and proudly display your support for your local law enforcement and Missouri sheriffs. Your tax-deductible dues will go a long way to ensure the office of Sheriff in Missouri remains a strong, independent office answerable to those citizens that it is sworn to serve and protect.
