Course Policies

Contract

Your agency may contract with us to provide POST-approved continuing education. If you are interested in becoming contracted with the Missouri Sheriffs' Association Training Academy, please contact Mick Covington.

Attendance Policies

To successfully complete a course used to meet the Missouri continuing education requirement, an officer's absence must not be allowed for any reason, valid or otherwise. Each individual attending will sign the attendance sign-in sheet upon arrival to the class. No attendee may sign for an individual other than himself or herself.

Course Cancellation

The Missouri Sheriffs' Association Training Academy reserves the right to cancel any particular program because of minimal enrollment, and will make reasonable effort to provide a notice of cancellation within five (5) working days preceeding the scheduled beginning of the class.

Payment

We can invoice your agency or you can pay by check. Please make checks payable to Missouri Sheriffs' Association Training Academy.

Refund Policy

In most cases you will be invoiced for training, however some sessions require full payment at the time of registration. In these instances, or if you should choose to pay in advance, a full refund will be issued if the class is either cancelled or full. Should you cancel, we will credit the registration amount to you or your agency's account to be applied toward future training sessions you may wish to attend. Credits will be honored for twelve (12) months from the date they were posted to the account.
