Judge Files Amended Judgement in Favor of Deputy Salary Bill
Cole County Circuit Judge Richard Callahan issued an amended judgement October 26 regarding a challenge to the 2008 state law designed to bring in revenue to raise the pay and benefits of sheriffs''deputies. On Semptember 16, Judge Callahan originally issued a judgement in favor of the defendants. The amended judgement does not change that status. The plantiff counties have until December 7 to file a notice of appeal.
